  • EASY TO USE: Pre-drilled for lag screws or carriage bolts
  • BUILT TOUGH: Built with heavy-duty 12-gauge premium steel...
  • MULTIFUNCTIONAL: The 4x4 bracket is perfect for deer blinds,...

The E1088 is our favorite bracket on this list. It’s durable, reliable, easy to use and comes at a great price. Its made from 14-gauge high-capacity steel that can sustain up to 500 pounds. With its sturdy material and welded joints, the brackets can support a  structure up to 8 feet tall.

As the name states the Summit outdoor E1088 is built to fit 4×4 wooden beams making it suit most blind builds.

We found the brackets to provide sufficient support and stability. In addition to this, it was easy to install.

On amazon, most people are happy with the product, but a few have reported issues. One of these issues is that the bracket can be to tight for some 4×4 wooden beams making it hard to make them fit. In addition to this, the open design allows rain from hitting the wood which can cause to rotting if you dont use the proper materials.

Besides this majority of the customers have positive opinions about the product. Overall its a pair of sturdy brackets that are suited for elevated deer stand builds.

Pros

  • Robust and durable
  • Sturdy fit
  • 14 Gauge steel with welded joints
  • Holds up to 500 pounds and 8 feet tall structures
  • Constructed with a Compound Angle

2. Elevators 4 Pk. 4X4

The Elevators 4×4 if you have a large budget the Elevators 4×4 is your best choice. The brackets are made of heavy 12 gauge steel with a clever design that allows them to hold up to 1000 pounds and 12 feet high platforms.

It’s built to fit 4×4 wooden beams making them fit perfectly for treehouses and Deer stand blinds.

Its constructed with the same compound angle as the Summit 1088. This results in a sturdy design that can support a ton of weight hence the 1000 pound capacity.

The Elevators have a closed-off design protecting the wood from rotting. In addition to this, it has a coated finish that prevents rust and corrosion.

We found no negative aspects besides the higher price. But with the incredible weight capacity, quality materials, and exceptional build we found the brackets to be far worth its price.

Pros

  • Heavy duty
  • Can support up to 1000 pounds
  • Rust and corrosion-resistant
  • Easy to install and use
  • Support up to 12 feet high platforms
  • Made of 12 gauge steel

3. Summit Outdoor E1000

Summit outdoor E1000 4 x 4 Straight Angle Elevator...
  • Built with heavy-duty 14-gauge high strength steel
  • Adds additional support to any project
  • Quick and easy assembly

The Outdoor E1000 is another heavy-duty bracket that can support an 8 feet tall blind up to 500 pounds. The reason for this is 14-gauge steel. Its robust, sturdy and corrosion-resistant.

As other brackets on this list, the E1000 supports 4×4 wooden beams since this is the most common width and lenght on blinds and builds. The beams fit seamlessly in the brackets and with the pre-drilled holes, the brackets are quick and easy to install.

What separates the E1000 from the others it that it’s built with a straight angle construction. It’s a simple construction that can be the best option for many builds, but it won’t provide you with the same strength and durability as a compound angle. In their sales page, it says the brackets can be used up to 8 feet, but we found everything above 6 feet to not be optimal for this type of bracket.

It’s a great bracket that is both solid and safe. The only downside we found is that the bracket cant is used on bigger platforms that are taller than 5-6 feet.

Pros

  • Durable and heavy-duty
  • Constructed with 14-gauge steel
  • Corrosion-resistant
  • Holds up to 500 pounds

Cons

  • Straight angle construction
  • limited to 6 feet or shorter platforms

4. E2488 Compound Angle

Summit Outdoor E2488 2 x 4 Compound Angle Elevator...
  • Built with heavy-duty 14-gauge high strength steel
  • Adds additional support to any project
  • Quick and easy assembly

The Es2488 is very similar to the other models on this list. Constructed with 14-gauge steel and corrosion-resistant coating. But the E2488 is built for 2×4 wooden beams compared to 4×4 which most models use.

If you have built your blind with 4×2 beams then this is our top pick for you. These brackets are built with a compound angle resulting in a durable pair of brackets than can support up to 1000 pounds.

In addition to the extra weight, it can support the compound angles gives your blind platform a sturdier base resulting in less wobbling back and forth.

We found it to be easy to install with the pre-drilled holes and easy to read instructions, however, a few users have experienced that the design was to tight making it hard to fit 2×4 beams without having to use a hammer or customizing the build themselves.

The brackets are both sturdy and safe. With the added compound angles the brackets can support a massive weight, perfect for those of you who are looking for a 2×4 blind build.

Same as other brackets on this list its made of 12 gauge steel and a black coating helping to withstand rough weather conditions.

In terms of design, the HME has a multi-angle design that allows for taller platforms and higher weight capacities. HMEs weight capacity is 600 pounds.

The brackets come pre-drilled making it quick and easy to install the brackets. One of the downsides we found on the HME is that the sleeve design should have been a bit taller to provide more durability and stability to the build.

Things to look for when looking for the Best Deer Stand Blind Elevator Bracket

Elevator Bracket

Its fun to build your own deer stand blind, but having durable and perfectly constructed corners can be a long and tedious process which is why most builders decide to purchase an elevator bracket since its both a quick and safe solution.

All elevator brackets on this list come with pre-drilled holes making it quick and easy to install your new brackets.

Most brackets you purchase will be both more stable and safe than what most builders could produce themselves. The main task of the brackets is to reinforce the joints and adding both strenght and sturdiness to the corners.

Now if you are going to either make or purchase a new bracket yourself then here are a few features you should look for.

Material

The first step you should take before purchasing a new pair of brackets is to check what material is used. The material will determine the durability and longevity of the brackets. We recommend you to find products with the same material as the once in our list: 12 or 14-gauge steel.

We have found these to provide the optimal durability and strenght that you would need in a large blind platform.

This is not a must, but a bonus feature you should look for and that is coating. A good coating can help to prevent rust and corrosion which can quickly occur during rough weather conditions. A coated bracket will last you longer resulting in a better and safer investment.

Angle

The angle of the bracket is not just for design purposes but has a huge impact on the strenght and amount of pounds it can withstand. In this list, you will find two types of angles and that is the straight and compound angle.

With a compound angle, you get more strenght and sturdiness compared to a square bracket. This will allow you to carry more weight and build taller platforms.

The single angle can be easier to install on most buildings, but it won’t provide you with the same sturdiness and power as the compound angle. If you are building a smaller blind than these should work perfectly, but if you are looking to build larger and taller deer stand blinds we recommend you to use compound angled brackets.

Compatible Beam sizes

As you may have noticed throughout the article, not all brackets fit all beam sizes. Before you order a new pair of brackets you should ensure that the beams will fit in the sleeves of the brackets. In our comparison list, you can easily see the beam size that will fit, but if you are looking to purchase beams on your own this is something you should keep in mind.

Our recommended beam size is 4×4 since this will provide you with the most strenght and sturdiness.

Last words

All the brackets on your list work great for their suited purpose. Which bracket that suits your requirements and plans is a task you need to solve on your own, however, we are here to help when you have this figured out.

if you are going to build a standard 4×4 blind build than the Summit Outdoor E1088 is our recommended bracket. As the name states it fits best for 4×4 wooden beams. We found it to provide a nice balance between quality, sturdiness, and price resulting in a great bracket overall.

However, if you are looking to build a large blind the elevators 4pk is the best choice. It can hold up to 1000 pounds! in addition to this, you have compound angels allowing you to build both heavy and tall platforms.

The price for these brackets is a bit higher compared to the others on this list, but again if you can afford it then it’s your best bet. Our thoughts are that if you invest a bit more to get an additional 3-4 years out of your blind then it’s worth the extra effort and money.
